What is included with my order?
Your Silent Groom Pro and the grinding bits that come with the bundle you choose — 1, 3 or 10. The bit is the only part that wears down, so the bigger bundles are simply a longer supply. The grinder charges over USB-C, so any phone or laptop cable will do.
What is the Silent Groom Pro and who is it for?
It is a quiet electric nail grinder for dogs and cats. Instead of cutting the nail in one go like a clipper, it files it down little by little, so you stay in control and there is no sudden snap.
It is made for owners whose pet panics at the sight of clippers, for anyone who has already cut the quick once and never wants to again, and for dogs with black nails where the quick simply cannot be seen.
How do I use the Silent Groom Pro?
Let your pet hear it running for a few seconds before you touch a paw. Then hold the paw steady, switch it on and work from the tip of the nail in short passes of two to three seconds, lifting between each one. Finish by rounding the edges.
Your first session does not have to be all four paws. One paw a day is a perfectly good start.
Is it loud? Will it scare my pet?
It runs at around 40 dB — about the level of a quiet room, and well below a normal conversation. That is the whole point of the design: most pets stop reacting after the first few seconds, because there is no sharp noise and no sudden snap to flinch at.
Give your pet a few seconds to hear it before the first paw and the rest usually goes calmly.
My dog has black nails - how do I know when to stop?
That is exactly where a grinder helps. On black nails you cannot see the quick from the outside, so you work from the tip in very short passes - two or three seconds, then lift and look. As you get closer, a small pale, chalky circle appears in the centre of the tip. That circle is your signal to stop. A clipper gives you no warning at all, which is why a single cut can go too far.
How long does the battery last, and how do I charge it?
Up to 5 hours of use on a full charge — far more than a single session needs, so in practice you charge it every few weeks rather than every time.
It charges over USB-C, so the cable you already use for your phone or laptop works.
How long does a grinding bit last?
Between 3 and 5 sessions, depending on how hard your pet's nails are. The bit is a consumable, like a razor blade: when it stops filing as quickly, you swap it.
That is why the 3-bit and 10-bit bundles exist — so you are not left without one halfway through a trim.
How often should I trim my pet's nails?
Every two to three weeks for most dogs and cats. The trick is little and often: a two-minute touch-up every couple of weeks is far gentler on your pet than one long session after months of growth. Simple test - if you can hear the nails clicking on a hard floor, they are already too long. Pets that walk a lot on pavement wear their nails down naturally and need it less often.
What is the return and shipping policy?
You have 14 days from delivery to request a return. Orders are prepared and shipped within 1 to 3 business days, and delivery time then depends on your country and carrier.
